I Really Do Care, Do You?

During an embarrassing episode of recent U.S. history, a person in power’s wife unfortunately wore a jacket with these words on the back: “I Really Don’t Care. Do U?”

Well, I really *do* care… I care about so many things. I especially care about all of the suffering caused to people, planet, and animals by the meat, dairy, and egg industries.

Animal protein causes illnesses like diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and cancer. Those illnesses can make Covid-19 infections more severe and even deadly. The industries that use animals as commodities really do not care that humans are suffering from diseases caused by their big businesses. (To learn about the connection between veganism and optimum health, visit: Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.)

And, those industries really do not care that their profits come at the expense of our Earth home. Animal agriculture contributes significantly to the greenhouse gases that are fueling climate change. (Learn more: Climate Healers, the Cow in the Room.)

And, the animal abusing industries certainly really do not care about the suffering of the billions of animals who they enslave and slaughter each year.

Vegetarianism is not enough because the dairy and egg industries also cause incredible suffering, including the mass killings of male cows and chicks. For example, please read my post: “Do You Know What the Egg Industry Does with Male Chicks?

I really *do* care… Do you?
