The chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks are real — and so are the cows, pigs, fish, and lambs.
What does it mean to be “real”?
Real means that someone actually exists. Even the animals who are bred into existence solely to be killed for food are living, breathing, feeling beings.
Those very real beings are hidden away by the meat, dairy, seafood, and egg industries, so that most people do not have any connection with the source of the food they eat. Sadly, animal food products (meat, fish, dairy, and eggs) come from real beings who are suffering intensely.
In 2017, a satirical conspiracy theory “Birds Aren’t Real” began, which is what inspired my post here today. According to Wikipedia, “Birds Aren’t Real” argues that the U.S. government killed all the birds in the country between 1959 and 1971, and replaced them with drones to spy on the American people. The “birds” sit on power lines to recharge themselves… Interestingly, earlier this month, the U.S. Government actually tweeted a response to this theory, saying “Birds are real.”
Yes, birds are real… and so are all the other animals who are killed daily for human consumption.
Let’s all stop this insanity by going vegan!
