This year I symbolically adopted a turkey with a donation to Farm Sanctuary. There were six “spokesturkeys" to choose from, and I chose Celeborn “The Protector” because I like his spunk. They describe him as “bossy, charming, flirtatious, and extremely protective of those in his inner circle.”

If you are not yet vegan, please spend a little quiet time reflecting on how turkeys, and all animals, are living beings who have families and feelings just like humans, cats, and dogs.
More and more people are making the shift to veganism, so there are endless vegan holiday recipes available online, as well as a wide variety of vegan “meats” available in stores.
This will be my thirteenth vegan Thanksgiving, and I will be happily displaying this Celeborn Adoption Certificate on our vegan holiday table:
